OT: Automotive AC service reccomendations?

Satori

Cancer Sucks
I need to have the AC on the car fixed. Since I'm not from Tucson, I'm looking for a reccomendation for a good shop to do it. I would prefer a place in the U of A area or West of here.

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking it's more than a simple recharge. Driver's side and passenger's side are separately controlled. One side blows just cool air and the other side blows warm air. Last time it acted like that, the control head in the dash needed to be replaced.

sell the car and buy corals. it's the only reasonable thing to do under the circumstances.

in all seriousness, I imagine now is the time to get if fixed, before the heat comes and repair shops have you over the barrel.

if you have to take it to a shop Ramsower's Garage is good, i dont know if you remember jeff ramsower who used to be on here alot his user name was gost rider i think or something like that that shop is his dads. also tucson auto truck its closer to uofa it on stone south of grant behind the wildcat house. they are friends of my family and do a great job.

What kind of car do you drive? The place I have used for 20 years works on Toyota, Honda, Nissan and do a great job. Micro Performance.

It's a Buick Regal GS. Thanks for the suggestions, I haven't had a chance to call around yet. I might stop by Tucson Auto Truck (odd name?) like ffjpayne suggested since it's between the hospital and my temporary apartment.

I took the car to Ramsower's Garage yesterday. He said that the compressor is shot, and that it's a $900 part.

Thanks for the reccomendations.
