How many of you fraggers also ride dirtbikes/quads/sandcars/buggies or otherwise like to go play in sand that is not in your tank?

Is anyone else besides me going to spend Easter weekend at the Glamis sand dunes? We have a large camp of people already going, but the more the merrier!! We are taking our fifth wheel trailer and heading up Friday morning and coming back Sunday.

So how many of you reefers are riders and will I see you there?

I went about 10 times a year for several years but alas- I no longer have quads :(. Should be a great weekend and enjoy!!!!

Here's how devoted (crazy really) I was about Glamis :)

Be safe out there!

I have never been to Glamis. I have been to Butter cup & Gordons well several times. I wish i was going this weekend. :(

I remember riding the dunes between 8 and 18 years of age.....

ATC 90

Watching my Dad break two ribs at 11:30 at night on the way back from Mexico and riding another 5 miles back to camp.

ATC 185S

Seeing my Mom break some ribs and complainfor the next several years.

Sitting for hours watching the construction crews build Jabbas sailbarge for Return of the Jedi.

ATC 250R

To this day when people ask what the R was for I still say radical.

Almond Flavored Tequila

Man do I miss going....

Was that you? Sorry man :D

I do miss the good ol days of Glamis. Unfortunately the crazy days are behind me- it's harder to recover when you're older and actually care about having to get a paycheck :)

You're never too old to be crazy! Nobody still rides?

This is completely safe - and police supervised ;)

My riding days where cut short when my dirtbike got stolen, I'd love to go but I'm going to be playing with plumbing this weekend and attempting to not to flood the home

I would be, but I am getting married and fling to Australia. I have grown up in Glamis I go for a weekend each month from October-April. When I get to old to ride a bike then I will have only the rail. I am already counting the days until October.

If people think the reeftank is expensive then they need to start duning.

I don't celabrate easter. I am Jewish with a very bad potty mouth. uh oh did I say that????

althou my gf and our kids celabrate easter. althou I don't think our youngest understands what easter is about outher than candy.

he's 13 and has only been given an easter basket and does egg hunts. but hasn't been told the story behind easter.

we use to have quads but then we found reefing. we still go shooting thou.

im a duner, but i go to gordons well, never been to glamis, i've heard horror stories about gangs coming down from LA and stealing and causing trouble. i'd like to go up once on an off weekend just to ride the bigger dunes, but i havent had a chance yet.

Jpslicko loves riding dirtbikes at Glamis from what i hear :x sadly i don't think Er and I are gonna be able to make it

My wife Lisa and I will be there. Going up Friday morning through Sunday. Am taking new motorhome on maiden voyage. We usually go at least once a month in the riding season. My brother and his wife just got a new WeekendWarrior and will be there also.

It is almost too hot to be there now. After this trip it's time to get the boat out of mothballs and start going to Havasu again. In two weeks we are going to the DesertStorm poker run at Havasu. We don't do the run we just go and watch the bigdogs play. We lived in Havasu before we moved here to Goodyear.

Where do you camp? We typically camp on Gecko but this time I think we are going to camp in the flat area behind the store, not in the wash though. Just something different this trip. I think Friday might be too late to get a flat spot on Gecko rd. It's alot dustier there but we'll deal with it.

Oh, we (Lisa and I) have quads. Kawasaki 400's. We might have gotten a sandcar by now if it weren't for this reef tank thing. (LOL) Just think it'll be Halloween before you know it and time to go back.

Keith.

where is Gordons well? I've never been to Glamis, so, the rail is getting a little tired of being in the Trailer. Have XR400, but not big rider.

And now, i don't have a truck to pull the trailer, so, maybe i get ride of the trailer too!!!

Keith, we usually camp in the washes, I think this weekend it is going to be around wash 7. We get a big group and make our wagon circles with the RV's. We'll be with the group R&R Duners. We have a handful a crazies and a bunch of families with kids. And a five year old that rides better than me!

Our rig is real easy to pick out among the nice shiny white toyhaulers, it is a ghetto orange early 80's fifth wheel. You may recognize these guys:

We are the ones responsible for breaking jpslickorocks.

We are talking about making the ride from Glamis to Gordon's well and back on the bikes. Depends on the weather. You are welcome to join our camp Keith!

This will be the last trip until fall!
