No not to Omaha, I'm talkin' Berkeley CA!!! I figured being we are having a kid this spring, this is my last real chance to get the heck outta dodge. I will be in Berkeley from Sept. 16th-21st taking a glassblowing workshop. I am so stoked! I haven't been out of the mid west for 20+ years. I definitely plan on hitting the San Fransisco Bay aquarium while I'm there and check out the real ocean instead of the tiny one in my dining room.

I know there is something i am going to miss thats going on around here what was it? Hmmmm.....

Hey, you should check out the monteray bay aquarium. I had to drive by it twice and wasn't able to go. The aquarium is actually in the bay under water. I have been to San Fran many times, I guess I didn'y know they had an aquarium in the bay.

Thats like a 2 hour drive, don't think ill have time for that one....

Yeah probably, i'm going alone and will probably be spending most of my time at the workshop anyhow. Maybe next time.

If you find the time the monteray bay aquarium is amazing, one of the best I have ever seen. They incorporate the bay into the actual aquarium.

Do you sell blown glass or is it just a personal hobby? I would be interested in seeing and using some of your pieces. A workshop in San Fran sounds like the ideal spot. (At least outside the Netherlands):rollface:

Check out some of the tidal pools. They're pretty neat.

Man this sucks, ill be that close and yet so far. Who knows maybe ill get a wild hair and go for it, i just wish i wasn't havin' to go alone.

Monterey Bay is one of the best I have ever seen. GO, miss the work shops
