OT: need to get rid of a king size bed...

Does anyone know of an agency or group that would come and get my old king size bed? I got a new one and really didnt just want to throw out the old one as its still has some use in it and is in pretty good condition (a little sag in the middle). Thinking something like salvation army, shriners or whatever. Anyone know? I just dont want to have to go through the trouble of loading it up and hauling it to the dump or a drop off point. Heck, if anyone on here wants it you can have.

There is a website called freecycle.com that you could try posting it on. It has a local Orlando chapter and is quite popular. You could ask that it is pickup only and someone could come grab it.

You might try calling the salvation army and see if they have services to pick up something large like that, too. I think they may.

Also the Mustard Seed is a good charity to donate stuff like this to. They get it to people that really need things like this.

mustard see is great. have you thought of the spca? i know over here you just call them up and they will come and get it. they use the stuff in there trift store and the money they make the use for low cost vac and the housing and care for apopted animals

I had not thought about the spca. Will have to give mustard seed and them a call tomorrow morning! Thanks for the ideas. Hopefully someone will get a new king size bed for xmas!
