Hey all! Unfortunately, with back problems, I won't be able to persue my second favorite hobby, kayaking. As such, I'll have to sell my kayak. My loss is your gain, as this is one he!! of a deal. Details follow:
2004 Islander Reggae 11.5 ft kayak, lime green, sit on top. The boat originally had a little tracking problem, fixed with 3 skegs from a wakeboard. Now it tracks beautifully, without taking away turning ability. All screws used have been RTV'ed and there are absolutely no leaks at all. There are carrying handles on front and back. There is elastic webbing up front, and 2 straps with clips in the back well. I've had this yak in 2-3 foot waves, and it will go right under the wave and pop up the other side, no problem. Turning in this type of sea is a little hairy, but is possible. It tows beautifully behind a boat under 10 mph. I think this yak was designed as a surf yak, but it seems to fish very well. I've had it out approximately 25-30 times, and caught lots of fish, but back injuries force the sale. It's very stable, and has lots of leg room. I had a 14 pound beagle with me, bouncing all around, and I had to shift my weight around very little to compensate. I'm 250 lbs and it carried myself, a cooler with about 15 lbs of ice and sodas, a couple of tackle packs, and a full bait bucket of shrimp, and still paddled easily. I'm on a canal, so if you want to test paddle the boat you can.
Comes with the following, with approximate value new:
estuary paddle, green to match the boat ($60).
life jacket, yellow and black ($20).
small anchor, with good quality anchor line ($30)
jam cleat on left side, and eyelet up front for anchor line ($10)
Black padded seat ($40)
Paddle clips to stow paddle on right side ($8)
Paddle leash to keep paddle from floating away ($14)
DIY milk crate with rod holders, regular bait bucket fits in
(priceless) sorry, couldn't resist.
Price for everything included: $300

I'd consider throwing in a frag if you're a fellow reefer... lots to choose from!
