Ot: Nfl Draft

Even if the team is physically in Anaheim....I bet it would have a Los Angeles name.

Lol, the first and only time I ever wrote to Arnold on an issue was about getting a football team in the Los Angeles area. Since LA is too cheap to pay for a stadium, I wanted the government to help foot the bill. I actually got a BS response!!

about bush and gas prices. Doesn't his family own a lot of oil company? Isn't he controlling the market price?
just a stupid question

lol wrong bush.
but about the one youre talking about...yes they do. i doubt he has as much control as all the super-duper bush haters say. but hey, lets talk football here.

not too much to say other than what the millions of press releases have already said. On a side note, in todays daily bruin (ucla campus newspaper) drew olson said that he's not sweating it too much and will probably be at pebble beach playing golf on draft day. i guess thats what happens when you know you're probably not going to get picked up first round but will probably get picked up somewhere between the 2nd round and the start of the season =X
but really he was doing alot better than i picked him to do this year. im surprised that they have him so low in the predictions. it was just before the gauntlet game that MANY peoplre were saying him and linehart were very comparable and some even put olsen on top. its going to be very interesting to see how the draft actually plays out.

im an sc fan so of course i think that leinart is better. but i do gotta say that drew olsen has alot of potential to be a good qb in the nfl. actually maurice drew had an amazing combine. that guy is hella fast and hella strong, i would like to see what that guy can do in the nfl even though he is only like 5'7". but of course its all about bush.....he is simply a phenomenon.

of course youre an sc fan...the only non sc fans are ucla alumni =)

both drew and bush are awesome for their height. i love seeing little guys run the ball. what are your thoughts on the other candidates from other teams?

I think that this years draft has the most talent Ive seen in a couple years.
I think AJ hawk will be outstanding. He is just a flat out good player.
Mario williams has incredible speed for being 300 lbs and tremedous strength. I have seen some video on him and I think it might take him a few years for the next level.
Ty Hill ran the fastest 40 in the combine. 4.3 flat. Obviously fast but i dont think he is big enough or physical enough for the next level.
Vince Young is a great player. I dont think his style is meant for the nfl but if he really works on his arm and works on that more then scrambling then he will be a great threat. He is big enough and strong enough but he just needs to be a qb and not a rb.
Its hard to say anything about Matt leinart. Of course I want to say he is ready. He has been in pressure situations and can handle that part. But from college to the nfl it is so much faster. He wont get away with those touch passes. His arm might be a little weak. HOPE IM WRONG!
D'Brickashaw Ferguson is gonna be sick. FREAKIN strong and fast for his size. I think he will be a threat right away.
Vernon Davis is very strong and is very quick. I think he is too small for a TE and maybe a position change will benefit him.
Jay Cutler. I think he is gonna suprise alot of people. I would say he has the whole package as an nfl qb. I think that he might be a better QB then leinart in the nfl.
BUSH. Of course I think he will dominate. He is the most exciting player out there. I love to see athletes dominate and think he will be a huge asset to any team.

Those are my opinions, if you dont like them please post YOUR thoughts........

i agree completely on the skill/talent level of the candidates this year.

my personal favorite wouuld have to be d'brickashaw...i mean...come on...close to 300lbs with a 5.06 40 time and a 30inch(?) vertical leap. that doesnt even take into account how well he sees his blocks consistently. his films are just entertaining to watch. first time i think ive ever said that about a college o-lineman.

dont forget about UCLAs mercedes lewis at tight end too...if they pick up that davis might not be big enough for them i would definitely put lewis at the next TE pick. he played awesome while he was on the field this year even though it was limited.

Lol I did it about a year ago so I no longer have the response. I did it as a joke anyway, just to see if they would respond.
