I spent the weekend in Santa Clarita (where the tour ends). The town is making a HUGE deal of this event and my family that lives there is very excited about it. They will all be at the finish line.
I got a great spot on 9 and N this year. It was raining so it slowed them down enough to get a decent look at a few of the guys. I think I saw Cancellara out front on the final lap before the sprinters moved up. Amazing what these guys can do...

They would like to do some of the Sierras but snow would be a problem this time of year.
Snow isn't too bad up here this year as long as they started around Mt. Shasta and went south.
Mt. Shasta has quite a bit of snow, but the roads are pretty clear.
If it was an afternoon start they probablly wouldn't even have to worry about ice
