Any one know if anywhere in Elk Grove is showing the fights?? I really want to see it. Worse comes to worse I am going to Roseville and paying a $10 cover charge at some bar called Players.

would rather not drive that far but I gatta do what I gatta do

Not too many bars show big Pay-Per-View events like UFC because of the expense.
I didn't know there was a players in Roseville, I know there are two close to me in Fair Oaks, off Sunrise. Both of them are good bars for watching games and such.

Who do you like in the fights?
I like Hughes and Swick

There are a lot of 155lbs fights on Saturday, should be fun to watch.

Excited to see Jens Pulver come back.

I like Penn and Swick.

Hughs is good but Bj has knock out power and great BJJ so he can hang with Matts Ground game but Matt has the vendetta to settle. Its gonna be a close one I think but I am really excited to see it. To bad GSP got hurt would have liked to see the rematch. But I am sure it will happen again soon.

Yeah I am stoked to see Little evil back.

GSP ran a clinic on Trigg and was beating Hughes but got caught, and he showed he can bang for 3 rounds in the Penn fight.(whch I think he won)

it comes out on Nov 17th and its gonna be 500 - 600 dollars and they are only releasing less than 8 per store. Less than the Xbox 360 launch and no we arent taking pre orders.

Gsp did winn the Penn fight but it was really close. Penn is in my mind still the Champ. He was the champ but then left to go find better competition in Japan.

Gsp Got nervous in the fight with Hughes even he said so and he begged for the rematch. I think this is gonna be a good fight. Matt Hughes is crazy strong and He does have a chance in the fight, you dont become the most dominant Champ in the UFC from by being a pushover. He is gonna bring it for sure.

The winner of this is gonna take on GSP since he was supposed to have this fight to begin with.

Then we can see who is the real champ.

Penn will not beat Hughes again, No way!

What about predictions between Swick and Luasseau (I know I spelled that wrong)

I think if Swick catches him like has has so many other folks its over. His hands are so fast and accurate its unbelievable. Reminds me of a young Vitor Belfort I just hope he stays like that. Makes for really good fights.

B.j. gassed the third round after nearly tapping Matt Hughes out with a reverse Triangle (triangle Choke but with your leg wrapped around the front of your neck rather than the back) Or a Arm bar (he could have finished with either, it was bad) Hughes came out with some good Jabs, BJ went for a horrible take down attempt and Matt sprawled ended up in side control trapped both of BJ arms (they were pretty much useless at this point anyhow) and started landing hammerfist punches on BJ's head.

Big Joh McCarthy gave BJ tons of time to get out and recover since Hughes punches werent very forceful but BJ couldnt defend he was out of gas. Fight stopped TKO Matt hughes Avenges his loss to Bj. THere is going to be a trilogy to this fight.


BJ took the fight on 6 weeks notice and was out of shape pretty much used all he had in the first 2 rounds with fantastic takedown defense and good strike to Matts face.



St Pierre is Next on Matts list.

Congrats Matt Hughes becoming the undisputed Ufc Welter weight Champion.

Congrats to Swick too for the decision over Loisseau.

Great round of fights, although I lost $20 on the Hughes fight I was glad to see him win, I just can't believe it was stoppage do to strikes, never would have guessed that.

what happened to "Little Evil"? I guess anybody can get caught.

I can't believe I heard boos in the swick/Louisseau fight, people just don't get this sport sometimes.
Does Swick deserve a title shot?

How much money did GSP get from Dana White for his comments to Hughes after the fight? because you know he wouldn't have said anything like that on his own. Can't wait to see that fight.

I really don't see Penn/Hughes 3 happening any time soon, there are so many good fighters coming up and why would Hughes take that fight? nothing to win ,everything to lose and he beat him very definitively.

I never said it had to be immediatley. Let Penn get a few under his belt in the UFc. All of his fights from his comeback were title shot fight or number one contender.

Yeah Pulver got caught, I think he was overzealous and made and error. He will be back but he has his work cut out for him in the 155 division. Did you see Melvin Gollard he is a monster at 155 and I am sure he is gonna be a title contender soon.


I hate it when anyone boos in at fighters its one of the most dissrespectful things you can do at a pro event. Nobody can appreciate skill anymore. Swick and Leisseu are both great strikers and they had huge respect for each other knowing that the fight could be over within a few secs if one got caught.

I think Swick is a contender for sure, he has made mince meat out of the competition and not all chumps either. I think there should have been a fight between him and Anderson silva to see who fights Franklin. Remember Leisseau had Franklin out in the last round of their fight but his only mistake was that he held Franklin up on the cage, if he had stepped back you would have seen Franklin get KO'd.

GSP said what he said to hype up the fight, immediatley after he realized Hughes took it wrong he apologized, these guys are class acts through and through I have no doubt in my mind that it was ment to be done respectfully. Gsp just has a bad accent.
