I was experimenting over the weekend with taking macro shots of water drops, here are a few that I was pretty happy with.

Thanks klepto and Brett9917.

Klepto, the colors are changed by shooting the flash at different colored paper and/or plastic.

Wow, I am surprised at ISO 800. I guess you have a really nice camera... lol

With my D40 noise starts to become apparent at 800 lol.

I'm shooting a Canon 5D Mark II, its ISO performance is really good. The setup was kind of rushed, if I would have spent a little more time I could have gotten the flash closer and used a lower ISO.

That video is really cool, I especially liked the last one with the two droplets starting at opposite sides of the "half pipe", but like Brent pointed out the phantom is in a whole different league.

Brent, I just got the macro lens a couple weeks ago so this was my first time doing any stop motion work with it. I've done other things non-macro related with using flashes to freeze motion, here is a link to a thread I posted last summer: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1655535

He was the guy who filmed Baywatch...

Brent's my idol!

Hehe!!!!!

Very nice Jim!!!

Thanks Jesse!

I shoot a varied range of stuff, but mostly I get hired to shoot people, product, and liquid / beverage photography.

You have some incredible work there, Brent! They're all great, but the green apple, airplane cockpit, strawberry in the milk and liquid flowing from left to right were my favorites.

Don't I wish! LOL!

Bummer, Recty had me going! ;)
