OT: Wood Cut Calculator

I dont knwo if this exists but it would be helpful if it did.

Is there an online calculator out there that would allow me to feed in the number and lengths of cuts like this

3 @ 4'-0"
6 @ 2'-8"
7 @ 1'-9"
etc
etc
etc

and then assume 8' lengths of stock and it would tell me which cuts to combine where out of the 8' stock to minimize scrap/wasted material?

Just curious.

there used to be a piece of software called 1D Stock Cutter that did it but I dont think it was ever online but it was a free download

I am simply so busy that I dont have time for addition.

The real irony is I spent the day working on some takeoffs for a project in Union, MO. Doing takeoffs is basically counting the material neede for an entire project in this case a bank.

I didn't want to waste any wood is the issue. I can measure and cut, I wanted to use the wood I buy in the best possible way with the least amount of waste.
