i was wandering if there was anyone that is mechanicaly inclined in here. i have a 95 jeep wrangler 2.5 4cyl that once it get warmed up i get a bad miss in it. but then i can shut it off for a few sec and it will run fine for alittle bit then miss again. i have changed the plugs wires cap and rotor. dont know what else to do?

Upstream O2 sensor is bad. The one above the catalytic converter. Thats typically what maked them miss. Does it get worse the longer it idles? Does it ever backfire?

Easy way to tell if its the cause, if you let it idle, do not rev, and it gets worse and worse, thats the problem. Its something about the O2 sensor heater goes bad and doesn't close the loop so it sends a rich signal back to puter which makes it lean itself out to the point of starving. When you did the plugs were they white and clean with a burnt edge?

yes the plugs were burnt. it gets rough after i drive it. then shut it off it gets better then bad again.

Yeah, its the O2 sensor. It resets for idle, so when you shut it off it works again till it starts to correct itself for mixture. Replace sensor then disconnect battery for about 5 minutes, that will reset your mix settings and should be good to go
