over stocking??

Go coral crazy ,just learn how to frag and control the growth. Fish 1 inch per gallon good rule. Inverts mb 5 nass , 3 or 4 hermits a few margeritas. Not all at once though.

ok thanks so i could do like 3 "nano" gobies? i have prolly too many crabs in there right now... and what about a clam? that will be alright?

Clams are good for nitrate control but like more mature tanks and lighting better then PC. Your tank if kept up will only get better with time.New tanks tend to fluctuate in readings for upto 6 months. This is a patiant hobby and clams are labaled expert.

1"per gallon is way too much for fish. The general rule is 1" per 5 gallons.

Of course, this is a general rule. But I DEFINITELY would not recommend doing 18" of fish in your 18g tank.
