hey guys i have a quiet one 3000 pump as my return pump under my DT and its about a 4' hight i was wondering what dimmentions should my over flow box be to handle it? i have a box now but not sure itll handle it its a single drain too.....thanks

,btw what would be best way to have the return, one inlet tube or one on each side of the tank,i know doing 2 would trop the flow going in though

I would split the return into one on each end of the tank. I believe the outlets on that pump ate what.. 1/2"? is this a HOB overflow with a U-Tube?? if your overflow has a 1" drain, you should be ok.

ill check when i get home, not sure of the specs off hand....i was wanting to do a split anyway to add a little fllow to each side of the tank

I have always tried to split mine. on my 75, I had a single over the tank, but broke it out just under the water line. obviously the closed loop was returnd to both ends. on my new tank, i have the sump return broken 4 ways. two in teh middle of the back, and one on each end.

You should be o.k. with a box that can handle 600gph. A single CPR HOB overflow can handle that much. What kind do you have?

lol i was stupid enough not to ask what kind it was,got it off of here im thinking i might be ok with spliting it too but still not sure,,wish i had asked what kind of overflow it is,when we return home ill messure the overflow and find out

OOOOO.. I hated those U-tube ones. FwIw, I had a cpr low profile style one. it has dual 1" out the bottom. I closed one off and ran a mag 9.5 on it cut back to about 75%
