Hello reefers i purchased my first tank last night and upon movin i broke the return pipe sticking out below the tabk. Where can i purchase a replacement and whats it called?

I'll admit that plumbing at first can be daunting. Once you've plumbed a tank everything sort of makes sense as it is really simple. If its just the PVC that broke there are fittings and pipe you can use from any hardware or box store. You just use standard PVC (Schedule 40-the white stuff). But if something broke I'd be really concerned that the bulkhead became damaged and that should probably be replaced. Also check to make sure the glass did not crack in that area as well. I think with any used tank, replacing the bulkheads is not a bad idea anyway. They are cheap and its good for peace of mind.

Pictures would help with your specific situation though.

Hi guys unable to post pics at this time. I do rather replacing the two pieces like tou said for piece of mind. The part that broke was the 2 to 3 inch piece sticking out below. I dont believe the tank is cracked because when the piece broke it just rubbed on the table.(i forgot it was there when putting down)
Where would i buy these parts or whats it called.

I would assume you are talking about the bulkheads...

Most local fish stores have them but you can get them online as well. Bulk reef supply and marine depot have them or you could just google aquarium bulkhead and find them all over the place. As others have said make sure you check for damage of the glass. My previous tank had a pretty nasty crack that stemmed from the bulkhead cutout.
