overflows what type ?

I'm doing a dual center over flow box in my 60 gal so we have view all around tank and center. Was thinking 1"drain and 3/4" for returns in each overflow box

Do I need a stand pipe of just open 1" bulkhead on bottom of overflow box how to make it quite ? any info and pic of ideas ?

I decided after info from another to do a Durso stand pipe drain

not sure I'll have room it's not a big center tower overflow tank isn't that big to do a box more than 6" square
