Overhead clearance required for 9010 and 9015 skimmer?

I'm thinking about redoing the sump of my current aquarium and I'm currently planning on purchasing either 9010 or 9015 skimmer because of their compact size.

How much space do I need to keep clear above the top of either of these models to allow me sufficient space to remove the collection cup and to clean the skimmer?

You need at least 4 inchs for the 9010 and minimum 8 inches for the 9015 above the top of the skimmer cups when mounted.
