Owning Seahorses

Hi,
I have someone selling 2 5inch seahorses are they hard to raise,meaning could I put them in a regular reef safe tank with clown fishes,damsels and coral-just was wondering if I should get them thanks.

The short answer would be , pass them up.

You need to know the species in order to provide for their needs.
Differant species have differant requirements, tank size,temps,etc.

Reef tanks are not really suitable for seahorses. They need to have a setup dedicated specifically for them.

If you are interested in seahorses, I would suggest you first do some serious research on them. Pick a species you are interested in keeping and then find out all you can about the requirements for the particular species and make certain you can provide all their needs.

Thank you very much I appreciate your advice,I will pass on the seahorses until I understand more about them and have the funds to get a seperate tank ect thanks again.
