Hi! I was wondering if the ozone will oxidaze phosphate, nitratre, and all the other nice stuff that is in the water

If I fill a container with tap water and let it stay for a few days running ozone .......... and then runnig through carbon media just before using it goes in the tank, will the water be good for the tank???

mind you...I do have an 100 gpd RO/DI unit..
but this is just a thought ,trying to be on the cheap side.. and be an helper for the people that use simple tap water...

I do not have a degree in chemistry..:D but sometime I wish I had one..
thanks

Ozone will have no effect on nitrate or phosphate directly. It will oxidize ammonia to nitrate. It will also oxidize many organics to some extent.

But in short, ozone will not make bad tap water good.
