ozone?

It's going to be really tough waiting for those next two articles.

I JUST added a Red Sea ozonizer and now I'm like... Maybe I should re-think this.

In my 50G tank, I've been dosing 3 mg/hr directly into the skimmer with a bag of carbon on the air exit at the top of the skimmer and another bag at the return line to the main tank.

I have noticed a definite decrease in skimmate, but what I do obtain tends to be a lot more concentrated.

Edit: I don't know if this is related to the ozone or not, but for about the last month, every time I feed or add any kind of new organic into the water, my skimmer goes NUTS and feeds a ton of micro bubbles into the tank (it's a coralife super skimmer needle wheel job if that helps any).

This dose is for the 50 gallon tank?

Correct. I try to keep it on the low side (and at the moment I have it completely turned off).

Oh hey - I should have mentioned that I do have an acclimated ORP probe in the water and the ORP itself has never gone above 350 (I have 360 as the shut off point).

To be fairly honest? I don't know. My water is typically pretty clear since I do a 10% water change twice weekly.

But my water is indeed pretty darned clear.
