Let's talk ozone. Who uses it? Why? Benifits? Pitfalls? Equip?? Broad discussion let's go with it

I have not ozone but I have looked into doing it and from what I found...It polishes the water for better light penetration and also makes the water clearer. It kills the bad bacteria but may also kill the good along with it. The cost of the equipment and space doesn't really seem worth it unless you just want really clear water. But I feel over purification of water can sometimes hurt coral growth because the water may already be clean enough. I would be interested in hearing from someone who runs it to provide factual evidence that it is indeed worth the extra money. Unless its free...free is good.

Getting mine next week so we will see how it goes... Clearer water, higher orp is what I'm looking forward too. Hope it improves the colors of my sps with the higher par!
