How many milligrams of ozone should I dissolve in my 175 gallon tank in one hour?

It has nothing to do with gallons it has t do with what method you are using to introduce the 03 and wether or not your system is able to use what you give it
well it is confusing I know that a little o3 goes a long way and too much is way too much by then its too late so.. use it sparingly because a little is better than none

Well I dont know where you got that from but if you dont believe me, I suggest you do some more reading. With a screen name like Redox, I assumed you are familiar with ozone and ORP. 
Redox you need some help. Std dosage is as Billy gave.

That is the same dose Billy gave
15 /50 = .3 mg / hr /gallon (Billy) or .3 x 50 = 15 mg /hr /50 gal (You)
A good starting point, to be safe, is what Billy gave, which is the same that you gave Billy's is better because some have less than 50 gal. Or you an convert gals to liters or use liters. Some ozone dosages and lit. are in liters

sorry I guess Im just an idiot..... But you cant tell me that there arent any other variables to consider other than dose and gallons. how about method of induction , most use skimmers and what brand and how eficient that brand might be determines what dose you might use. Ive been using my method since long before this forum was created and have had great success. All the caculaters and technical words dont add up to hands on experience I have with o3, 15years of use. yea maybe I cant spell and maybe all my advice isnt good but the result speak for themselves over 300 induvidual sps corals that are thriving ,growing, and fraged many times there more than one way to skin a cat
and by the way no one said anything about how deadly o3 is in the wrong hand maybe you should mention that

Go back and re-read your own post. You did not give any advice on anything other than a dosage. Nobody said or adding anything other than your dosage, which is the same as Billy's. 15 years o3 You are not even close to my 30 + years then

That dosage is a safe starting dosage, so one does not get in trouble. Of course there are things other than just dosage, i.e., skimmer type, flow rate, flow volume, relative humidity, air-dryer producing of ozone oxidants, GAC, redox (ORP)level
