Pacific Sun Hyperion r2 issues

Hi all,
just got pacific sun Hyperion r2+, so far I have managed to connect it to mac but no joy with pc as cannot get it to download latest firmware, also the lcd screen shows only solid blocks even when turned on, is this faulty lcd screen or is it something to do with a firmware update ?
any help would be greatly appreciated

thank you guys, all sorted now, the lcd was faulty but being replaced FOC and a guy called Tomasz set it all up remotely and now working fine, top class customer service
