What did all of you guys or gals out there paint the back glass with? I am to this stage and don't know what I should do,, do I need to prime it first with anything special such as krylon? I have heard of howmany coats you have to put on though :D

If you could help me out I would greatly appreciate it

I painted the back pacific blue , spray paint from lowes. Looks great but after time it will just be covered but coraline so its just a temparary thing.

On the RC home page on the left upper side theres a search tools tab. In there you can type glass painting your glass or something like that and youll find links to threads.GL

i used an acrylic spray paint.

it you don't like it a razorblade and 15 minutes and it's off. Just make sure you tape off the tank so it doesn't get where you don't want it.

Two coats of Krylon Fusion

Another idea... If you have overflows on the back of the tank, tape them off so you don't paint over them so you can see into them if you need.

prefer to be able to see (thru) the back of my tank

kept it out from the wall about 12"
- although havent done it yet i am going to buy plexi at lowes/hd and spray paint it - that way whenever i want to see what is going on behind the rock i can remove the back and have a look around - i also intend to keep the coraline off the back as well! - couldnt imagine deliberately blocking off one side of my tank then not being able to see around back behind the LR etc - having my tank out away from the wall i guess i am spoiled in this regard and wouldnt have it any other way!
