Painting Rocks

Hey guys, I know that Krylon Fusion is the paint to use. I can't seem to find any at my local store.. went Homedepot/walmart, I just want to paint the rock purple. These rock are not going in water anytime soon. My rocks are outside of the water for display purpose. But in future I do want to put them in a reef tank maybe a year or two from now. So I would need some paint that is "Safe" please give me a alternative. Thanks!

Let's make this more clear, I found fusion there but not purple that I wanted, and I found Krylon cover maxx. Is that OK to use?

I don't think spray painted rock will function as live rock, at least I wouldn't count on it. Dry rock doesn't cost that much, just get different rock for your tank and spray your dry display rock with whatever you want. Jmo.

Not true I sprayed dry rock w Fusion and two years later still looks good and fish leave it alone.Let the rock dry several days rinse once and place in tank, No issues w mine

Trying to match up my inside later on when the real coraline algae kicks in.. =)

That is really cool, I've never seen that before. I like the tank very much. Keep those Pics coming.

The reason I wanted to paint the rocks is because i needed to blend in my Bonsai tree rock. As you can see in picture.

Tank is still cycling as we speak, here is the under body. Nothing special, just PM sump, with Esshopp skimmer, and lots of reactors .

This is a 100g 72*24*12 custom rimless shallow tank. Built by GC, Miss Beth help me out on getting the Overflow exactly where I wanted it. Thanks guys!

Um... I kinda LOVE this. Way to think outside of the box!

I think it's really obscure that you're blending bonsai and saltwater/reefing but this is pretty neat! Would love to see it as it matures.

Cheers!

Most definitely, it's a long process but in the end. I hope to be able to relax ace enjoy. My little tank has no room for corals.. So need new home soon. Thanks guys.
