For a large (700g, then transfer to a 2150g) FOWLR with multiple Triggerfish, Pufferfish, Filefish, Angelfish, Butterflyfish, Tangs/Surgeonfish, Wrasses, Groupers, Rabbitfish, and others.

Skeletor Morays (Echidna Xanthospilos) are non-piscivorous pebbletoothed Eels that grow to ~36". Engineer Gobies (Philodichthys Leucotaenia) are sand-sifters that grow to ~13", and when kept in pairs will likely spawn in the tank.

Looking for input on which pair (Eels or Gobies) to put in the FOWLR, since they are incompatible with each other. They're amazingly similar in appearance, IMHO.

I would go with the engineer gobies since the Skeletors tend to come in really small and are far more expensive. You'd probably have to grow them out for a year or more before you could safely put them in a FOWLR tank with aggressive fish.

Yes, that was my exact thought and the reason for my post to get feedback; so thanks.

If I can get a decent-size pair of Skeletors, it might be different. Ultimately, the Gobies will have a large tank of their own.
