Pairing Maroons

What is the best way to pair maroon clownfish?? I have one that is approx. 1.5" currently, so would I try a smaller, or a bigger?? Or should I not bother as they are hard to pair?? I don't want fighting...... thoughts??

I wish would have seen this before,i have 2 maroon clowns but they don't stay together,they don't fight but i don't think they are paired. What should i do now?

I was reading about maroon clowns in my clowfish book, and it seems they are very different then anyu of the other species of clownfish. Even when they pair sometimes, they don't always stay around each other---so in short, I think your clowns should be fine, and maybe still paired. As long as they don't fight your good to go!!

When I was trying to pair mine, I was told to just get 1 larger than the other and thats all. Not supposed to be really hard or anything, but all living things can be different. I also started with one at about 1.5". The other was little under 3 inches. They paired nicely and are now spawning. I'd say try one a little larger. Good luck!!
