pairing my maroons

I just bought a baby maroon to try to pair it with my larger one. The baby is 1 inch, the bigger one is2+ inches and has been in the tank for months. I have the baby in a clear plastic container in the tank to let the other one get a little used to it. Will there be a certain type of behavior to watch for that will tell me the larger on has accepted the smaller one. Can I be certain at some point that it will be O.k. to let the smaller one out without conflict?.. John

Is the little guy doing the happy dance when the larger one gets close? (shaking) With Maroons it can be tough to tell if she will accept him or not.
If you can set the container up so that he can venture out, but return if things go bad, that would work. Just make sure she can't get into the container with him. Oh and keep an eye on them.
