I purchased a very small pair of percs they were together for a short time (two weeks) and unfortunatly the little fella died very mysteriously, I have bought another fish hoping for a pair this fish was bigger than the dominant one in the tank already and I knew the risk of possibly putting female with female but am hoping that the origonal fish had not matured into a female yet. Anyway the two have been together for 3 days and no sign of aggression but also no real sign that they are pairing the origional fish has been submissive in the larger fishes presence but they do not really spend a great deal of time with each other one hosts the torch coral and the other the top corner of the tank.
Is it likely that i will get a pairing seeing as there has been no aggression?
Or will two females live in the same tank and tolerate each other, the fish are wc and from different locations as you can see with the colours could this also have somthing to do with there lack of interest in one another?
I know they look together in the photo but that is not the norm.
