Palys came back from the dead???

My army green palys on several different rocks seemed to die when I moved my aquarium about six months ago. They didn't shrivel up they just turned pure white and I assumed that they were just dead. Recently I started making some changes to my parameters such as dosing vodka because my nitrates and phosphates were high (so far they were still very high and have not gone down) and I adjusted my alk , my calcium and magnesium. Is there anything in particular that I can attribute to making the palys happy enough to come back to life?

Make sure to keep your parameters within reason, give the polyps plenty of light and cross your fingers IMO.

Don't think they were dead then, if they are coming back obviously. If they truly died, it would have completely melted off the rock. But makes sense if they were doing poorly due to bad water conditions that they'd start to rebound now that you are getting things back on track. What are your parameters at now?
