Nice. I dig the black sand. A couple questions for you...

1. Are you running all XP-G Cool White and XP-E Royal Blue LEDs?
2. How many strings, and how many LEDs are on each?
3. What drive currents are you running for each string?
4. Got any pics of the LED fixture?

Thanks!

you got the bulb combo nothing fancy at all three total strings 14 bulbs each running on meanwell drivers.

the blues are running around 800ma and the whites are running at about 1000

you couldnt ask for pics when it was on my kitchen table could you haha its in a canopy so kind of hard to get any shots of it

hahaha, you know it! No big deal if you can't. I know there are some of us looking at building some LED lights, and we can use all the ideas and pictures.

Yeah it does feel good knowing I finally learned how to adjust meanwell drivers lol. And the best part is my controllers are on their way

What is the distance from the top of the water to the LEDs? And what degree optics do you have on them? Just curious...

I've been wanting to figure out the PAR of the LEDs on my tank. Did you borrow a PAR meter, or own one?

A good friend of mine has a par meter so needless to say its normally at my house haha. its about 8 inches off the surface. I haven't tried optics on it yet. I have set up a few leds fixtures and personally i dont like the look of the optics although it gives to much higher par values i just dont like the look it seems somewhat blotchy to me
