Par level + help please.

I tried "Search" for Par/Anemone and found 11 and none were specific. I followed links looking for information. But no help.

Last week I picked up a large healthy H Crispa. And future plan is for a S Gig.
My lighting is 4X54 T5 with 2X150 MH. The par is 500-550 1in under the water /
200-225 at the highest rock point / and 150 at the anemone.

My t5s are new. The MH are pheonix 14 that are 6 month old. Is this enough ?
Or would switching to say a good 10k be better to bump the par numbers up.?

Beyond my questions. There are not many what i would call real answers to a specific question. Just saying "they need a lot" isnt very helpfull.:headwalls::headwalls::headwalls:

For myself and others that might be looking. Where should we try to be .?

yah, good luck finding those readings documented with any regularity.

i have a bta tank, and saw the same posts stating "a lot" of par. i bleached out bta's starting out the led settings too high. i dropped the settings all the way back to 20 / 10% and have been going up 5% a week. they have been getting a lot of color back.

i have a crispa. it settled on the back bottom of my reef tank about 3 months ago. it started out white with blue tips. now, it's green'ish brown and much healthier. it's only getting about 100 par and thriving.

i have read numerous post stating that people will have up to 700 par on gigs and they extend out for more. i have a cube set up for a gig, but haven't found the right one yet. so, i don't have personal experience.

not sure if that helps or not...

Just saw where OrionN showed his H Mag and said the par was near 750 on him. Wonder what the lower limit is for staying healthy for the Mag's.?

6 week update , the anemone has relocated on the rocks where the PAR is closer to 230-250. If more is needed I will need to lower the lights. Or consider a stronger light like maybe a 10K. So far the 14K Phoenix is OK.

This is mine. How about your tanks.
