Was curious if anyone had any guidelines for this subject. I've been really wanting to bring a clam into my system and was curious of specific lighting. I understand that PAR is somewhat subjective, and possibly even difficult to pinpoint, however I just so happen to have a borrowed par meter, and my LFS is ordering me a ORA Squamosa clam due in this week. (so the adventure begins)
I'm certain I have enough light, proper levels and such. But it occurred to me does this number exist? If so I could at least make an attempt to place properly. I picked a Squamosa as I would prefer to keep him on the sand. I have plenty of lights, 2 Kessil 360awe's and 2 36" ATI blue plus T5 supplements over a 90 drilled. Dosers taking care of the alk/cal. Tank is a mixed reef, mostly sps all seem to be growing and happy. My only real concern is my fish, any that misbehave will be evicted. I feed about 4 times a day so I am hoping to keep any nipping to a minimum.
Back to the original question, any numbers would be appreciated.
