Has anyone used paragurd to fight off ick and is it safe for shrimp , star fish and live rock? Has anyone heard of raising the temp. up to get rid of ick?

There are two proven treatments for ich, copper and hyposalinity. neither can be done in the display. Rasing the temperature can speed up the life cycle somewhat so you can treat faster but is not a cure.

Fish can sometimes fight off ich if they are well fed and in a low stress environment. Just recognize if you go this route the ich is not gone and may well re-surface with any stress event.
