It will eat any crab/shrimp and will nip at mostly SPS, but also has been known to nip at LPS and soft corals. However, they are relatively non-aggressive to other fish...with the occassional nipping of the fins.
They are actually rather hardy, but many of them grow quite large, so a large aquarium is necessary. Also feeding them small crabs/shrimp is a necessity to their diet.
Personally, the Cetoscarus bicolor is one of my favorite fish...and I would love to setup a tank one...but they also can grow to 18"+ so I would need at least a 300g tank to keep one. I would encourge you to look into one if you have the ability to house one.

Frankly, we were never able to keep them alive at the LFS I worked at many years ago. And I rarely seen them at any of the LFS. Since eventual adult size of a fish rarely stops most LFS from carrying them, I'm going to venture a guess that it is in fact because they aren't the hardiest of fish. Just my 2 cents.

I think one of the keys to keeping them alive is buying them as a juvenile. However, I have never seen an ADULT parrot for sale before at an LFS.
In captivity, the largest recorded instance that they get is 18". I know a guy that got a 4" Cetoscarus bicolor several years ago, and it is about 8" now. Not one of the fastest growers, but he said they are relatively easily to maintain.

awesome fish....for the ocean doubt keepin one in a reef tank would be a good idea especially with anything else
