Part 3 Dilution

Randy I would like to add Part3 (Recipe1) in the same volume that I am adding Parts 1 and 2.

It is late and I can not think....

If there are ~3785ml in a gallon and we are dosing 610ml of Part3 per gallon, then the ratio is 6.2:1 right?

So I could mix a gallon of Part3 then dilute it by adding 5.2 gallons of water, for a total volume of 6.2 gallons.

I could then dose Parts 1, 2 and 3 in equal volumes? Do you see any problem with doing this?

Diluting it and dosing a larger volume is fine. Your dilution amount looks correct.

So if I mix only 1/6 of MagCl & Epsom salt to yield to 1 gallon, I will be able to dose it daily? Is there an advantage in doing this?

6.2 gallons of solutions will be difficult to store, although I do like the idea.

Yes, you can mix 1/6 the volume as long as you can accurately measure the solids that are added. Just then add 6 times as much as you otherwise would. It can be added as slowly as you want, as long as you match the rate to the addition of the calcium and alkalinity parts, now adding 6 x 610 mL = 3.7 L for each gallon of Recipe 1 calcium and alkalinity used.

I had considred mixong the smaller batch, but the chance of measurement error is much more likely to show up with regards to the solids.

Maybe you could mix the 6.2 and your friends or club members could use the excess.
