pc lighting question

HI I have a 46g bowfront with an odyssea light fixture on it. I wanted to replace the bulbs especially the actinic because what I've read says that they aren't the best blue bulbs. Anywho, can someone give me advice on some pc bulbs. I was looking for 96 watt bulbs and saw some for $18 and some for $35 at custom aquatics and I don't know if one is better than the other or not. I know that more money does not always equal better. By the way my tank has been up and running for about 7 months now. I just need to know about the lights right now. Thanks for your input.

just looked at hello lights and they only have a square pin configuration. I need a 4 pin straight. mostly I need a recommendation for a blue bulb. I am just trying to figure out the best one to buy since I saw two for two different prices. Thanks!

no problem., Thanks for your help though, I do appreciate it. Yeah I know you get what you pay for but sometimes better does not always equal more expensive. Do I just buy the more expensive lights and hope for the best?

Okay, thanks. With out seeing the bulbs in person and there isn't much of a description, I would still go with the $35 dollar one. It might be worth it to get both and see for yourself. I know it isn't fun to throw away $19, but if you end up liking the cheaper one better, you will end up saving money in the long run. I know I went through a couple different actinic bulbs before I found the ones I like.

Thanks it is always better to get someone else's opinion. I know I was looking at the coralife at my lfs and it was $78 :eek1: , so I walked out and told them I would buy it online. Thanks again!!!

No worries. I know the corallife are way too pricey, had to pick up one at a LFS when an older one stopped working on me, didn't want to wait.
