pc lights on a fowlr tank

How long before I have to change the bulbs out are pc lights good for on a fowlr tank?

PC bulbs are fine for a FOWLR tank and generally last about 9 months between changes.

I've been running the same PC's (4x96) on my 135 soft reef for about 14 months now..nothing has died yet!

And instead of changing the bulbs, I decided to get a new tank! hahaha

nothing should die from old PC bulbs, but things will not look as good, and grow as well as with fresh bulbs. the color spectrum of the bulb shifts, and it loses some of it's intensity. People change out their bulbs usually between 6-10 months to avoid that.

I agree! I saw the new tank comming and decided to hold off

But for the FOWLR, you can probably wait longer to change bulbs then a someone with a reef would.
