peaceful, non jerk-face reef fish

I'm looking for a peaceful addition to my 40 breeder. I've got a pair of black clowns and some assorted gobies etc that stick to the bottom. I want another fish or two that will swim in the open water but not be a complete bastard to the other fish...

I had an orchid dottyback that turned mean and the same recently happened to my cherub angelfish. They both started out fine but developed huge attitudes that made me get rid of them.

I used to have a firefish that was fine, I just thought he was a little boring. Any other suggestions?

Mccoskers fairy wrasse exotic looking wrasse! I have a bluehead Solon fairy wrasse? He was like a humming bird swimming through my tank minding his own business

Wrase, cardinal

Wrase, cardinal

I added a juvinile male malanarius wrase to my established reef w/o incedent. Beautiful fish - eats lots of pests. I also added a Benghi Cardinal - also w/o disturbing the others. A cool fish but they are somewhat nocturnal so I dont see him as much as the others. The original inhabitants are a couple of blennies, a pair of clowns, and a lemon peel and a flame dwarf angle. All get along nicely and dont bother the coral much.

I like the cardinals when they're young, but I find them to be pretty ugly as adults... the proportions are off for me.

I was at SEA today looking at the three new McCoskers Wrasses that they got in... I think if one is still around next week that'll be my next try. I'm always hesitant to bring home a brand new fish.

In other news, there's a beat up Cherub angel at SEA now... I think my two watchman gobies gave his attitude right back to him. He's otherwise very healthy (once those fins grow in again) and active. He'd be a great addition to a tank with fish that could give him an attitude adjustment.
