Peacock mantis eating fish flakes

I rescently got my peacock mantis shrimp to come to the surface and feed out of a floating styrofoam ring that keeps fish flakes in, i was wondering if this would be a better diet than a frozen krill.thanks

my N. wennera used to eat flake food all the time! Not sure if it's good for them or not though. I'm sure it can't hurt though, it's gotta be better then just krill. Have you tried silversides? I feed mine silversides soaked in selacon from time to time, she seems to like them.

my mantis seems to like all the food, but the flake is easy to feed, i dont have to go in to the freezer etc and get it in water etc. i give him snails atleast twice a week. im using the formula one flake food, i was thinking wouldnt the flake food have more beneficial stuff in it then a krill?
