I just recently bought a pearlscale butterfly fish from the lfs and it is currently sitting in a quarantine tank right now. I specifically bought it to eat the aiptasia that is overruning my reef tank right now. The person at the lfs put in a rock with aiptasia in it and it ate them right away! Now here's my question. I've had it for a few days now and I've been putting rocks from my display in the quarantine so that it can eat the aiptasia, but it hasn't been eating them. The ones I've been putting in are really big so can the size of them be too big for the butterfly to eat? It is eating everything else I feed it, but I want it to eat the aiptasia. Do you think if I just stop feeding it that it'll eventually just start going after the aiptasia? I dont want to put it into my display until it is for sure going to eat the aiptasia since that's the whole reason I got it. Thanks guys
