So my Magnesium got out of control and went up above 1500ppm. I know that may not be off the charts, but I also think the Pectina didn't like it. The flesh on my Pectina receded about 1/4" on one lobe and on one edge. I can see red Coraline Algae has grown on those exposed areas where the skeleton is visible.
My question is, what should I do? The coral has never done anything to speak of. It pops a sweeper out every so often, mostly at night. But in 4 months, I have seen no growth and in the last 2-3 weeks, this flesh receded and now I am worried it may be dieing.
Should I trim the tips of the skeleton to remove those exposed areas that have red Coraline on them? Or would trimming be very bad? Should I try moving the Pectina down lower to a ledge to see if that helps? Should I do both or should I do nothing or should I do something else all together?
Thanks
