I have a 125g reef tank approx 1 year old, under AI LED lighting, mostly with soft corals and LPS, but I also have a Pectinia that has been doing well for about 4 months. In the last few weeks, however, I've noticed that the flesh seems to be retracting from the skeleton at the tips in several places. There is a brownish skeleton protruding from the tips in several areas. The color otherwise seems good. I have not made any changes to lighting, and only minor flow changes. It's on the bottom mid tank.
Parameters have been stable for a long time. Ph 8-8.2 (depending on time of day), Nitrates/Nitrates 0, Phos 0, Ca 430, Alk 9.2
I have several reef safe fish that get fed, and I use Reef chili in the tank maybe 3 times per week.
Nearest other coral is about 8 -9 inches away.
Any suggestions? I hate to see this thing die on me....
