Peppermint shrimp and btas

got some aptasia to get under control. Will peppermint shrimp hurt btas?

Mine destroyed a hammer coral..They also destroyed my aiptasia problem..i will be removeing them somehow before i add any more lps.

I have a rbta and a gbta with four peppermint shrimp in the tank.. They haven't hurt anything but the aptasia so far (completely demolished them!). Really I only see them when feeding the fish but I'd wait for someone who really knows what they're talking about..The above is just my experience.

The only issues that I have had with peppermints and anemones is when the anemone isn't fully healthy. I have seen mine go after a damaged Haddoni, but once it had recovered they left it alone. Also, in my experience, the anemone hosting clown(s) helps too.

Someone else was saying their peppermints were eating their corals. I have one in every tank, in 2 years never seen them damage anythiing except aptasia. I have one in with 2 rbta's had no problems. i just had a bad outbreak in my 2 1/2 pico. I got a teeny tiny peppermint and in about a week he got all of them. When you run out of aptasia you will need to feed them. : )

once in a while a pepp would try to get in my anemone, but as soon as one of the skunk clowns saw him, they would chase it away.
