Peppermint shrimp eating astera star

Ok so I did a full overall cleaning and water change a few days ago since I've noticed alot more astera stars. Like lots. Today my peppermint shrimps were eating them or attacking. Is this them eating the star or what. I have a pic and video.... in both he's just holding it down but he was ripping something from underneath the star and eating it.
