I cant find him anywhere or my cucumber, I actually lifted my rock as well, what would cause this? And if it's dead wouldnt I find him plus my ammonia would rise.

They may hide a few days until the exoskeleton hardens.

Any excess nutrients from a deceased shrimp would be minimal. Less than disturbing your tank by moving stuff around.

mine molted so much it was rediculous...seemed to molt about once every 3 weeks or so. He eventually bought a one way ticket back to the LFS as he was caught eating a $30 triple headed candy cane coral i got for my birthday from my mother. and no he wasnt a camel shrimp. just watch out for them and make sure to occasionally give him a lil snack to keep him off your corals.

never had I problem with mine and corals, but I lost him for about 8 months, never saw him at all. But once I was given a coral banded shrimp he came out and made himself visable. too bad for him though he became lunch for the coral banded

I have bought a total of 7 and now I know I have 4. I removed my rock to get the damsels out and found these guys hiding in the rock...after I traded in the trigger for a tang, I see these guys more and more, they have a little colony under a rock, and are all over the place at night...only 1 of them eats aiptasia

I only see mine at night and during feeding. One likes to steal food from my bubbletip, he needs to be "gone".
