Peppermint shrimp with black spots

I thought i read awhile that its a disease or something they get...ive had mine for awhile and they have had the spots for awhile....they molt and the spots are gone for awhile then come back...is this really bad for the shrimp? will it eventually kill them and will it spread to other shrimp? i was thinkin of getting a cleaner but not if its guna spread...thanks.

One of ours has a black tail. Seems healthy. None of the others have the black tail and it developed after it molted.

We have a cleaner shrimp too but he doesn't seem to do anything for the peppermints...other than teach them to climb on your hand when trying to clean the tank!

Haha thats funny ya they love to just jump on your hands crazy shrimp....your cleaner does clean your other fish right?

Yep. We only had one fish but just got two more yesterday. It already cleaned one of the new ones.

The cleaner will climb on your arm and pick at your cuticles or if you have a small scab. The peppermints learned this but they seem to pinch a little more...not quite as cute and not quite as gentle. So they get bucked off right away.

thats cool...i have a damsel, clownfish, clown goby, and a sand sifter so im sure one of those guys would wana get cleaned...
