Percnon Crab...

I was at a LFS and in one of the tanks were some crabs with the label of Percnon crabs. After a little googling I found that this was the scientific name for Sally light foots. I was thinking of picking one or two up. I just wanted some feedback from anyone who has kept them. I have about 50 nassarius snails in my tank and I wouldn’t want to see them disappear one by one. How aggressive are these crabs? And has anyone had any trouble keeping them in a reef?

Thanks for any input

they are not supposed to eb reef safe. However my cousin keeps one in a 55 gal with alot of snails and smaller crabs and hasnt had any issues.

I have had one in my tank for a while now and all he does is eat leftover stuff on the rocks and sand....great addition to my clean up crew and no problems bothering corals at all

You know on the news where some deranged murderer's neighbors always say, "I never would have expected it. He was the nicest guy." Sally lightfoots are that guy. They're usually nice for a while but sooner or later they're going to eat something they aren't supposed to. Sometimes it's the cleaning crew and sometimes it's small fish.
