I recently picked up a Percula Clown from petco for my 12G and he doesn't go in the coral rock formation. He just swims in the current all day and night and I don't think he even rests. When I first introduced him into the tank there was a damsel that was in the tank prior. The damsel used to nip at him from time to time and I pulled him out about a day after. I tried introducing a shrimp to maybe make the clown feel more brave to enter the formation, but he still just swims in the current all day. Any idea on why he won't swim in the coral? Thanks.
Because "he's" a clown. Sounds perfectly normal for a newly introduced clown. As long as its eating and looks healthy I wouldn't worry about it. Sometimes after being newly introduced to a tank they can just hide out in a corner somewhere for several weeks before they really start exploring any of the tank.
