Percula Tank - Live Rock Help Needed

I need a fresh start with my live rock.

I began my tank with live sand and live rock and have not been happy with the random growths that have sprung up as a result. My tank is very simple (two percula clownfish and nothing else). I have had better experience getting completely bleached rock and letting it become live rock over time naturally and by adding marineland's bio-spira.

i dont know what kind of organisms were in the rock that i bought from the LFS but they came straight out of the tank and have SOMETHING in there that is causing slimy growths and now lots of stringy mess (and slimy blossoms that look mushrooms). gross. i also did not start with live sand previously and dont like the results.

so i've decided to remove the sand and the rocks and start over with bio-filtration. I have removed all the live rock and plan to remove the sand when i can put the rocks back in. right now i have the rocks in a dry rubbermaid. there is still lots of green and white slimy stuff to remove.

can you please help me form a gameplan for putting fixing my lverock? i have considered boiling them and bleaching them. i basically want to kill everything and get them fresh and clean as just rocks - porous rocks - that can host good bacteria in the future, but bring no organisms into my tank to start.

your help is much appreciated.
