Hey guys. Any advice on how to go about fixing my friend's dual 400watt PFO ballast?
Symptoms: lights on one side of his dual 400watt ballast suddenly turned off, he's had ballast for 3-4 years. Will not turn back on. The 2nd side works just fine on his timer.
He tried to switch bulbs from their sockets and the bulb on the working side also doesnt work on the nonfunctioning side. I've never fixed a MH ballast before, is there anything I should be looking for or be careful of?
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advace.

You more than likely need a new capacitor for that side of the ballast (and might as well replace both while you are at it).
